1. Introduction and formalities |
The basis of this year’s campaign was two almost “finished” trenches. 7585 was excavated the last 2 years (Hnila 2013; Hnila 2014) and 7485 is a half-sized trench that was excavated last year (Weber 2014). The baulk between the two was additionally removed last year (ibid.). I.e. all topsoil and almost all filling was gone, except in the two focus areas we had, this will be elaborated in the following chapters.
