This is the layer underneath Locus:7585:183.
This is the "new" 2015 excavation of the blocked corridor room. Since several clay tablet fragments were found in the vicinity, we excavate this with care and bring home soil for sampling.
The soil itself is yellowish-brown, it is hard packed and it has pebbles and pebble-sized mudbrick fragments in it. As well as very few ceramics. it is medium-big sand grained. And it smudges out when rubbed.
